It's easy to get to Yellowstone National Park at any time of year. There are commercial airlines serving the area at Cody and Jackson, Wyoming and in Billings and Bozeman, Montana. You can even find flights into Idaho Falls, Idaho. From June to the beginning of September, you can use the West Yellowstone, Montana airport.
Once there, you will need to explore Yellowstone on your own by finding a car rental, as there is no public transportation within the park. You'll love driving through the park and seeing the wildlife and fantastic geysers and forests. In the spring, you may even glimpse the baby elk and bison.
There are also commercial bus tours during the summer, and snow coach tours during winter months. These are thrilling, and you can see many sights. But the best way to go is in your own vehicle, experiencing your vacation at your own speed.
