No matter the size of your family or the ages of its members, every single one will love to spend some summer vacation time in Yellowstone. There are activities for everyone. If you prefer, you have a wide choice of vacation packages that will fit your needs.

Yellowstone is the largest national park in the lower 48 states, and proves its popularity year after year as millions visit the famous backcountry wilderness. You can drive the Grand Loop Road, finding all major attractions along this route. With forests of lodgepole pines to explore, you can have some exciting times.

The summer temperatures are wonderful for having adventures. Hiking is a favorite pastime, with plenty of camping facilities throughout the park. There are other exciting activities to keep you busy. You can go biking or horseback riding on designated trails, boating on private or rental boats and fishing for wild trout. You can even take a wagon ride or a guided trip into the backcountry by llama.

Speaking of fun, the wildlife viewing at Yellowstone is among the best anywhere.

The wild animals here are almost as abundant as the geysers and springs. The best time to see any animals are early in the morning or early evening hours. That is when the animals tend to feed and show themselves with more frequency. Remember to always stay a safe distance from the animals. They are wild and can be unpredictable. You can bring binoculars or use telephoto lens to view them safely.
