Cortez has plenty of outdoor and leisure facilities including raquetball, tennis, hiking, and walking trails, and fitness center nearby at a small charge. Mesa Verde National Park, the largest archaeological preserve in the U.S. which contains 3,900 sites, over 600 which are cliff dwellings is just 10 miles away. The famous Four Corners area is 43 miles away, and we are surrounded by Ute and Navajo Native America cultures which includes the Anasizi Heritage Center. 11 miles away is the Ute Mountain Casino and even closer is the Crow Canyon Archeological area where you can actually dig for artifacts in an educated environment.
