Thermopolis, Wyoming is famous for being the location of the world's largest hot springs. You will understand why the Native American tribes considered these hot springs sacred for their healing power. You can stay in wonderful lodging, and then take some time to relax in water of over 100 degrees while enjoying the lovely rock walls around and the roaming wild animals.
During the summer months, you can see pageants and shows, and you must stop in at the Hot Springs Historical Museum where you can see interesting displays, including some of the history of Butch Cassidy.
Lodging is great here with lots of choices. You can find the traditional National Chains of motels and hotels, but if you want something different, you can find a cabin, a vacation condo, a wilderness retreat or hideaway. The options are really endless, and you can find just what you want, no matter your preferences.
