The few hostels you will find around the Yellowstone area offer clean basic lodging and provide a friendly and safe atmosphere for the passing-through traveler. You'll find many amenities such as communal kitchens, linens and towels provided, and cable or satellite TV when you aren't out backpacking, hiking or fishing the area's rivers. Prices are always affordable (relative to more full-service motels) and usually don't require any advanced reservations. But, always be aware, it does pay to at least call ahead to see what occupancy is expected prior to arrival.
